What is a Basecamp?
Basecamps are the easiest way to get situated in your arrival city and avoid the common pitfalls of travelers arriving in a new city. Included in your basecamp are two nights of accommodation, breakfast at your hostel or hotel, and private transportation from the airport, train station or bus station to your hostel or hotel. In select cities, you'll stay at or near our Travel Center so we can assist you in planning your adventure in Asia after you've had some time to get over your jet lag and make the best decisions for your upcoming adventure!
What Kinds of Basecamps Do We Offer?
We offer Basecamps in three flavors: Backpacker, Comfort, and Family. Backpacker accommodations are typically in a hostel with dorms and is usually where our Travel Centers are located. Where possible, your transportation will be with local transportation like a tuk-tuk. Comfort accommodations are private rooms in cozy 3-star hotels with amenities suitable for couples. Transportation will be with a private car or van. Family accommodations are in cozy 3-star hotels in private rooms that can accommodate up to four people. Like our Comfort Basecamps, transportation will be with a private car or van depending on the size of your party.
