I travel to relax and de-stress. A lot of my traveling is also to make sure that we have the right experiences for our travelers. Rishikesh is the place I feel like to return to again and again to be blessed by River Ganges and get lost in oneself by meditation.
My most precious travel memory is my trip to Ladakh – the Himalayas are stunning, the people are friendly, and the local culture is mesmerizing. My first journey was to the hill town of Manali and I especially remember the view at Rohtang Pass and Solang valley.
If I can pass along one piece of advice about traveling in India, it's to be yourself. Understand and adjust to the local culture and food, and try new things. I read about different religions, cultures and countries before I travel and then dig deeper when I'm there to try and truly understand the people and places I visit.

I'm born and raised in Shillong, the capital and hill station of Meghalaya, one of the Seven Sister States of northeast India (the so-called "Scotland of the East"). My first trip out of Shillong was a train journey to Bangalore in southern India. I was struck by the tall buildings, the lights in the streets and the busy late-night lifestyle of the big city.
My best travel experience was a trip to Shirdi, Maharastra, to the shrine devoted to Sai Baba. My in-laws are Sai Baba’s devotees so, while I’m not a very religious person myself, it was still a special experience for me. My dream is to go on a backwater trip in a house boat in Kerala and I'll soon make this dream come true with our very own tour!
